Caitlin's contemporary dance class and improvisational movement labs invite mixed-level dancers. The class begins with simple technical devises (ie: breath-work, floor-work, self- care) that lead into guided improvisation, and instant composition. Class focuses acutely on peripheral awareness, and individual rhythmic dynamic, allowing intersections to create surprising moments of duet connections, solo material, and kinetic agreements within a group/ensemble. Caitlin's classes are not limited to any one format, for example, some classes end with learning a choreographic sequence while maybe another is more geared toward creating together as a group. Her class is not a free-form improvisational atmosphere but rather a technical, specific, and studied practice for the dancer hoping to gain embodied composition, in real time.
