history
Founded in 2018,
HEIDCO is an emerging NYC-based dance company under Artistic Direction of choreographer/director, Caitlin Adams. Launched in correlation with debut work, DISPLACE ENGINE (Gibney Dance, Performance Opportunity Project), HEIDCO is committed to a company ethos that encourages a constant flow of in-studio conversation, currently creating works in dialogue to build a cumulative portrait of collective action: a tangible manifestation of our mission for social equity and participation.
In their inaugural two years, HEIDCO has performed throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn introducing their work to varying dance communities and performance audiences. Their work has been seen in festivals, studio showings and evening length productions including Triskelion Arts, Gibney Dance, Hudson Guild Theater, Arts on Site, Old First Reformed Church, Jennifer Muller The Works, to name a few.
Caitlin Adams | HEIDCO, a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization, is working toward forming a 501c3 fostering equality through shared resources, roles, leadership, emergence and empathy.
We are members of a constituency housing a space of experimentation, embodiment, strength, instant composition and visual imagery. We are leaders, supporters, rebels, ecstatic, tragic and invincible. We believe all individuals should be given the space or ability to recognize these shared human aspects, systems, and roles.
Moving forward, we are committed to a foundation of impact, growth, and longevity.
